A paper recently published in Nature’s Scientific Reports defines SPINA Carb, a method for calculating beta cell function (SPINA-GBeta) and insulin sensitivity (SPINA-GR). The method is based on mathematical modelling of insulin-glucose homeostasis that was supported by computer simulations with SimulaBeta. The paper is available from https://rdcu.be/cX0Y3, https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-22531-3 or https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-022-22531-3. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- PD Dr. med.
