Hi Hesham,<br>
Unfortunately, I don't have any time until February or January to spend
on it:( .I really liked to help.<br>
<br>
Currently, I don't know anything about IDBS, but it might be possible
to create abstract types for physics engines. Then, it'll be event
possible to select the desired engine at runtime. <br>
<br>
Good luck,<br>

Hi all,<br>
<br>
The other week, I came across IDBS library, <a moz-do-not-send="true" href="http://www.impulse-based.de/" target="_blank" onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)">http://www.impulse-based.de/</a>.
I've read the documentation and the code, as you may already know
apparently we can replace ODE with this library easily and we will
probably get rid of the current problems with ODE. I was wondering how
we can keep ODE and add IDBS, and at compile time specify which one
should be used. I thought of modifying the functions of
oxygen/physicsserver and using a macro. But I suppose it will be a
mess. What do you suggest?
<br>
<br>
I'm busy with my thesis until 12 October, so until then I work on this
only in weekends. So anybody can help? Maybe by the end of October, we
can have IDBS in the server.<br>
<br>
Bests,<br>
Hesham<br>
