Hi all: I've been using the new simspark(0.61) for a while, and here are some of my experience. I remembered last year in Suzhou, China, the OC tested if the old simspark(0.6) could afford a 4 vs 4 competetion, and unfortunately the server crashed. Then in 2009 China Open, thanks to Feng Xue and other MC members, the simspark runned perfectly after being slowed down to 40ms a cycle, which means after each cycle, the server sleeps 20 ms. We had wonderful competitions of 4 vs 4. And based on the test, the server could afford 5 vs 5 or even more. So, since the server can be slowed down to 40ms a cycle(actually, it won't affect the attraction of the competetion), and allows more agents, why don't we use the same method in the new server 0.61? If so, the server will be much more stable( without any skkipping time) and we can do the some strategy research, and develop more intelligent agents. Thanks Lin Xiao -- |
