Yes you're right.

If you check out the skybox textures again from a linux box the 'x' flag 
is set. I don't know why this happens. Maybe the binary flag implies 
this? But it's not true for all textures in the CVS (the all have to 
binary flag set)

I did not find any hint in the CVS manuals [1]
