Hmm...I think we're agreeing but not expressing the ideas in the same 
way. Probably because I'm a newbie in thinking in terms of events and 
triggers.  But I'm jazzed about learning this.

If WP is getting code bloat, we certainly don't want to follow their 
lead...and this means that I don't have to spend time deciphering their 
code!  I had suggested it based on their claims for flexibility and 
modularity.  It would be interesting to hear from your friends re: what 
mistakes made by WP we should learn from.
