I did a frugal install of Simplicity 16.04 X; it booted quickly, but I
found that Firefox wouldn't open until I accessed it from the terminal.
What's with that?

Similar prob w LxPup 15.06 (Symplicity 16.04), from live USB on HP mini 1101. So far all works OK, except when I click on the Firefox icon, (from bottom bar) it freezes mouse and have to reboot. Have not used linux for a long time, so have forgotten everything, including how to run Firefox from a terminal.
Update--just ran from a terminal and also froze system.
How/where can I look for an error msg?
