Hello,

when using dbselect function within a simple_select field, i see a searchbox, if i have too many results. But it seams that it is then searching through the index column. But i want to search for firstname or lastname, e.g. and not for the ids. I also cannot use lastname or firstname as index, because they are not unique. So how can i achieve that ?

Thx for support

Christian

    Hello,

But i want to search for firstname or lastname, e.g. and not for the ids.

works for me, e.g. create 20 contacts, go to "Contact Activities -> new" and search "abc" in "Contact id", the query is:
select contactid, concat(lastname,' ',firstname) from simple_contacts, (select id as tid from simple_sys_tree where rread_users like '%|anonymous|%') e where (contactid like '%abc%' or concat(lastname,' ',firstname) like '%abc%') and folder=tid order by lastname asc limit 0,10

    bye
    Thomas
