I'm just trying out and discover SimpleMail. Looks good so far !
I use to keep all data file on a separate partition (than the application) for safety. I can see that when first used, SimpleMail create the needed config files in PROGDIR:, but also that the user can select another location to store the .folder directory (mails).
I think that it would be good if any config file created/updated by SimpleMail was stored in the user-selected location as well, with the only configuration settings that obviously remain needed in PROGDIR: being the path to the "data" directory.
By doing so, the user could delete completely the SimpleMail app. dir, and install a newer version where he wants, then just set the path to the "data" dir to find back his previous (updated) installation.
