The last time I looked into ADODB, PEAR::DB seemed simpler to me
(certainly I can't see any complexity within PEAR::DB). Other than
that if I prefer PEAR::DB is because it's in PEAR (and as such
"oficial"). Anyway ADODB is a very competent alternative.
