A small bug existed in the original V0.20 package I released. I've corrected the bug and updated the file. If you downloaded SimpleAssets V0.20 on or before October 13th, 2003, please redownload it and update your asset_actions.php file with the one in that package. The posted version now has the bug fix included.
A number of bug fixes have been included in this release based on user feedback. A special thanks goes out to Javier Martnez for contributing a series of code fixes to improve the usuability and stability of the product. I have made a few minor enhancements to the product as well. These include removing the requirement for an asset tag to be entered, and allowing asset tags with letters and numbers. The mandatory "A" has also been removed as well. An extra notes field is available for an asset, to track additional information. As well licenses have been updated to track expiry dates and license keys. Follow the instructions in the UPGRADE file to upgrade. Ensure you run upgrade.php if you are upgrading.... read more

As I am still learning how software releases work, I have adjusted the versioning for SimpleAssets to correspond to an alpha/beta release.
Since it is still an alpha product, it now caries version numbers less than 1. All previous versions from 1.00 to 1.05 are now referred to as versions 0.00 to 0.05.
The next version, 0.1 will correct these in all documentation and version information within the software.... read more
Date Management, a new feature which allows administrators of assets to manually change dates and assignments in drop down boxes is being added to SimpleAssets in Version 0.1 (Alpha).
This will simplify the process of managing past purchase and transfer dates of assets without having to manually create a transfer each time.
Version 1.1 is expected for release by the end of the week of Aug 12, 2002.
This patch corrects a problem where you previously needed to login after each action. This applied to cookie handling by Internet Explorer 6. Logins are now handled by PHP sessions.
This software is still being tested and bugs are still being worked out. Please feel free to provide me with any feedback on bugs that you find so they can be corrected right away.
This rollup DB patch fixes a number of problems with the database affecting:
- 127 Asset and Employee Fix
- IP and Licenses not getting added properly
- Other missing fields for tables in the original release
