There is a bug in add_album.php, add_album_mkmeta.inc.php, add_album_mkthumbs.inc.php and run_admin_commands.php. I switched the ssi directory to lib, and forgot to update those scripts. I will be uploading a bug fix soon. Sorry for the trouble.
Today I finished version 1.3.0. A complete rewrite of the navigation has been completed. jQuery is now used for all JavaScript and Ajax actions. When viewing large galleries, it can take some time to render each view. Now each view is cached until you close your browser or clear your cache. There are several other tweaks to layout and CSS styles. Enjoy.
I will be uploading version 1.2.0 version soon. I've removed the horrible ajax navigation, and cleaned up the home page a bit. Album galleries are now by year.
There is a new version up and running, but needs to be packaged. I haven't yet used the new sourceforge system, but as soon as I get a chance I will put up a new release.
Actually, this may be the last release of version 1. A complete rewrite of the engine is in the process and will include jquery for all the ajax stuff. You will also be able to use the basic browser functions like back button, refresh and bookmarking.... read more
There have been several changes to Simple Ajax Image Gallery, but I'm waiting until we are hosted in the new data center. I believe migration is starting 2008-08-18 so soon after that I will be uploading a new version.
This new version adds (x of y) which is displayed by the "start slide show" link. It would look something like (5 of 36). I've built in the ability to restrict access by ip. In future releases, I will be adding more access options.
The next release has slide shows included. From within an album, just click Start Slide Show and away it goes.
I've provided a working demo of Simple Ajax Image Gallery for anyone to try. It's linked from http://simpleajaximage.sourceforge.net
Enjoy
When looking at photos, you can now click next and back to cycle through photos. Exif data is now being displayed. The gallery is now optimized for 1024x768 monitors and up. When viewing images, the entire image will always be visible on the screen - assuming you don't have 15 tool bars at the top of your browser.
Enjoy!!!
Next time, hopefully I will have the browser operations like back, forward, refresh and bookmarks working. It's already in the progress throughout the code.
I'm currently working on a new release. This new release has many updates. Instead of only thumbnails and full-size images, there is a small image format that is displayed instead of the full-size image. You will still have the option to download the full-size image.
I'm also working to address the back button and bookmarking. This may or may not be in the next release, but is at the top of my development list.
