[Simple-support] Android Artifact Build

Hi,
This is more geared towards the owner of this project.
After having some issues with an android project failing the dx building
step (javax.xml.stream.* references), I grabbed the sources for simplexml
2.7 and made a 2.7 jar that does not include these references. I would like
to create a maven artifact for it and make it available for public
consumption. Is there something we could do to maybe create a branch and
build this artifact or would you prefer I do this separately from this
project?
