Hi Niall,

I just debugged the flow of the code and I guess that, it is taking time for
the ElementListUnion annotation and the recursive operation for the elements
which is nested in the root elements.

But still I don't know the exact reason.

 I always welcome, if you give some solution for this performance issue
after looking into the sample code.

But still I may be wrong in adding the annotation properly in the classes.
