what is the equivalent of -mno-avx2 for ppc ?

I've encountered an error while compiling "gcc: error: unrecognized command line option '-mno-avx2'" on my ppc machine. Reading online about it I found that it is a x86 intruction flag. I want to know the ppc equivalent for it.

Any pointers on this will be really helpful

Use options -maltivec or -mvsx (for Power 7 and higher) for PPC. It is analogue of SSE (128 bit vector). Analogue of AVX (256 bit vector) is absent.
