Netlib HTTP

Abstract: This page introduces different tools to speak HTTP or HTTPS on top of a silvertunnel-ng.org Netlib NetLayer.

HTTP and HTTPS are very important protocols in the Internet. Therefore, silvertunnel-ng.org [Netlib] offers different tools/ways to speak HTTP/HTTPS on top of every NetLayer supported by the [Netlib API].

Of course, you can also implement HTTP/HTTPS on top of a NetLayer by yourself - in such case you don't need the APIs introduced below.

Existing APIs

The following APIs are available and can be used:

• [Netlib URL Adapter] - use java.net.URL on top of every NetLayer
• [Netlib HttpUtil] - a simple way to execute HTTP GET requests

Ideas for future APIs

The following APIs are not (yet) implemented:
