We decided to release a compiled pre-alpha version for overview and testing purposes. Client and server are released in separate packages, and both require Java 6.

Sillian was born as a project for a University exam (we would translate the name of the course to something like "Network Programming"). It was so nice we decided to make it FOSS. At the state we presented it for the examination it wasn't usable by a wide audience, it only implemented rough functionalities (and, let's say it, not without some bugs). We are working on it, but releasing it means the beginning of some responsibilities to us because it means that at least one Sillian server is supposed to stay up & running kind of always and forever.... read more
