Welcome to MediaControl !

The goal of this project is to provide a concise dashboard of your favourite Media applications such as XBMC, SABnzbd, Sick Beard, Couch Potato and more.

MediaControl requires an Apache Web Server with PHP support. If you are hosting on your machine at home then either WAMP, MAMP or LAMP will sort you out. Please note that you'll need to enable curl if you're using WAMP.

How to install MediaControl

1 First you must check our the source using a git client.
git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/sikmediacontrol/code sikmediacontrol-code
2 Either point your Document Root at the location where you pulled down the source or copy the source to your Document Root. Document Root is setup in your Apache httpd.conf (httpd.apache.org) file.
3 Configuration - At present, an Installer is under construction, but it is not functional yet. This means you'll have to get your hands dirty by creating your own config.php, based off config-default.php (Just copy and then rename it).
4 Open your Web Browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, WebPositive) of choice and Enjoy!

News Update

10th February, 2013

Yep we're still alive. We've made the wise and bold move to XBMC Frodo and are now dropping support for Eden. If you still want to use Eden, stick with what you've got. As for the future, we've still got a bit of bug fixing to go to fully support Frodo, but we also have some new features such as external dashboard support via Dashing.

We've also dropped support for Couch Potato. It was a good product but was driving me nuts and I no longer use. If you would like us to continue to support Couch Potato, please let us know and we might chance our minds.

21st October, 2012

Well after the great hard drive crash of 2012 and having two different code repos on the go, I think I've now finally merged their features back into one base to look after. I also updated the CouchPotato module to work with the latest CouchPotato Server via it's API. API key required in config.php

21st April, 2012

My local git repo was fubared, so I just did a brand new Initial Checkin wiping all previous commits. No biggy, just means there's no history. I also added a NZBMatrix Status module.

3rd January, 2012

Looks like we've got all the code into a repo now and it's available for all.
