We are running automatic testing on GlassFish 2.1.1 here:

Both are running fine so it should work.

Have you tried undeploy and deploy and restarting, possibly clearing
some temporary folder (assuming GlassFish has one, at least jboss has
some issues when this is needed when upgrading) etc?
