Why not use AES? DES could be read in "real-time" by
the NSA in the 1980's, AES with a possiblity for a 256bit
key would definately add a little security to the
program. Also why use RSA to swap a public key, the
Diffie-Hellman private key exchange protocol/algorithm
would work nicely in this case.
