A stable Linux system crashed a day after using shfs.
I may have left the mount point mounted overnight
without the persistant option. So this could be a
case of operator error.
Here are some of the highlights from
the /var/log/messages log:

I'll try to use this utility on laptops rather than
on full production servers for a while until I can
establish a better level of confidence in the
product.
This tool is so very wonderful otherwise. It made it
so easy to edit the burlingtonlinux.org web site with
NVU. Thanks!
