The Shex Project / News: Recent posts

The Shex project is designed to provide tools that will extend the functionality of UNIX shell scripts. Release 1.1.0 is now available on Sourceforge.net and includes the 'lsraw' and 'dconv' tools.

This project has moved to Sourceforge in the hopes that it will inspire ideas from a larger pool of developers and sysadmins. Both 'lsraw' and 'dconv' were written out of a real-world need to process dates and times on file stamps and in log files inside a shell script. The project is looking for help from people who have further ideas of tools that would be useful for shell scripts.... read more
