Is there any plans to update windows evolution to 2.8?

After much demand....here it is :-)  I just released an installer for
evolution version 2.8.2.

Do you know I had forgotten about this I had put this request in so long 
ago.

I am very please, hoping some of the GUI issues are resolved with the XP 
themes now.

Hi,

I'll like to translate the installer into Catalan, could you provide
me the ISM project or a translation file for the installer strings (I
think there is an "Import/Export strings" menu on installshield). I
have installshield 8.

Hi Mark,

first of all, good work! Many thanks.

I've downloaded and installed evolution-2.8.msi. Evolution suite is
currently translated to Catalan (i'm one of the translators that works
on it) and when I run it, it uses Catalan as configured on Windows,
but the MSI installer screens are not translated. This is very
important for us in order to distribute it to the Catalan users.

So, there are two choices:

* Modifying the MSI with Orca, maybe using an MST for translation,
* Rebuilding the whole MSI.

If you're using IS 8, I could rebuild it myself. Also, as I've
mentoined, IS lets you export strings to a simple unicode text file; I
could send you the translated strings so you integrate them on your
installer for future releases tool.

xavier,
i think there's something funky with your environment, because catalan
translation is *already* in the installer, as i said before.  yes, i
know installshield has import/export for dialog strings, but what i'm
telling you is that all of the strings are already translated for
catalan.
is anyone else having problems with the installer not being translated
in a non-english version of windows?

Hi,

I've found the same behaviour on other systems. I'm using clean test
images (no other software installed). I've tested these systems:

* Win xp sp2 english, catalan regional settings -> english installer,
catalan evo
* Win xp spanish, spanish regional settings -> english installer, spanish evo
* Win xp french, french regional settngs -> english installer, french evo
