#11 v0.0.8 - cut out quake2 UI elements

By v0.0.8, the game should stop acting like quake2.
When run, it shouldn't report that quake2 is being
initialized, etc. The UI should be sufficiently
changed to show this also. This means new graphics,
etc. TODO items should be created for those graphics -
assigned to stu-42 - as soon as possible, to allow for
the maximum amount of time in making them.
