The process is automated nicely via nant, I think it's "nant dist".

Otherwise, the Tools/DiskImageUpdater directory contains a program which can
update the .img with the kernel. The template disk image is located in
Data/DiskImages/TemplateDisk.img or something. Hope this helps, it's been a
long time since I've done a build on it. Let me know if you need any more
