Testing an HTTP download using a URL of the form:
http://example.site.com:81/cgi-bin/zipper/filename.zip
This site requires a username/password. Both are set in the download dialog.
After pressing 'Download', the downloader window shows the entry, with 'Initialising"...
Nothing further happened. I left the program up for 15 minutes, without any change in this status.
Just to divert attention away from the port number which is a valid port for this service (to avoid caching servers), I also tried it on port 80, also a valid port - same results.
