tried a WinForm GUI project and a Nancy Web project using SharpDevelop472 , built on Win8 and run on Rocky Linux9 by Mono, it works fine. only the Process.Start( "exe" ) has different command-text on Linux.

SharpDeveloper used to be a great alternative fo VS for .NET Framework. If you are planing to do GUI Desktop apps, take a look on Pycharm + QtDesigner.

Hi, I am a new programmer in python. i found SharpDevelop from a google search. I'm looking for a Python IDE that supports GUI based application building. I was recommended to use version 4.4, after I installed and tried it, it was true that this editor supports python programming. Then I looked for the latest version (I found 5.1 version), but unfortunately the last version doesn't support python anymore. I'm also having trouble finding tutorials, books, or guides. a product should be accompanied...
