Unfortunately, the issue is not fixable w/o complete webpage
rewrite (already in progress). The problem is that the
background constsis of gazillion of 2x2 pixel images, which
can take quite a while for slow systems to render.
The new web should be up in few weeks, until then, there
isn't much we can do, sorry.
