  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #180

I opened this ticket: https://github.com/ansani/Shareaza/issues/147I. I will work on it next week.

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #233

Hi! I fixed it in my last alpha release (check my GitHub repo)

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #239

this confirms, once again, that you don’t know what are you are talking about. I cannot publish my exe in the original shareaza repo as that one is gone... About the false positive, I opened an issue on my github repos to check and fix. if yiu dont trust me, simply don’t download the build. s

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

report the newspapers to the court then, il sole24ore and others wrote that.

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

you make a version of shareaza and you don't publish where it's published since ages, but you publish on your personal github, then I question that the file is infected, also another user did, and the only thing that you can say is that 6/71 on virustotal is a false positive?

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #239

and? Does this message give us more information on your topic? I don’t think so. S

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

I kindly remind you that law enforcement is police, you are a bit confused indeed

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #239

arrested? when? please find someone else to troll, thank you

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #239

so, you are not a technician, a coder or someone with a good knowledge. but you can report and point your finger... can I call you troll? s

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

I'm not confused at all, you were bragging about your arrest

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

you against the virus scanners, i'm not a hacker or a cracker, virustotal is not always perfect, but nobody is, but it's a very good and reputable scanner

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #239

    I see you a bit confused...<lol></lol>

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

In fact, I said you were arrested, not definitively convicted . I really hope historical, facts truth and trial truth will be the same so there will be justice and I really hope you did not do what the prosecutor said that you may have done.

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #239

LOL... this is the output of the strings command... please don’t waste my time with your stupid reports. thank you

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

it's clearly detected as a trojan by virustotal, and as you said people can easily hide things, but you didn't hide it in all scanners yet.

  • <REDACTED> posted a comment on ticket #239

Never heard of “false positive”? 6 detections as “generic w32s threat”. As I already wrote, you have the sources so you can check by yourself (if you have technical skills). last thing, if I want to hide something in the code, stay assured that the artifact will pass the VT check <grin></grin>

I have seen a few promising forks (Envy was the last one I used) but watched them all stall. Lack of users or interest, who knows, but I would suggest that maybe using the shareaza forum for a unified point of release info and feedback may be useful for user awareness. BTW. Have you found a replacement for the LimeWire schemas ?

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #236

I opened a specific issue on GitHub: https://github.com/ansani/Shareaza/issues/138.

All releases are built using GitHub Agent (https://github.com/ansani/Shareaza/actions) **I don't build anything manually. ** Anyway, I will add the VT step on GitHub. About the Boost package, I'm using the latest release available on NuGet, so I'm able to build it in every build node of GitHub (or any other CI/CD flow). The source doesn't contains the BOOT package but only a reference for it (if you mean instead the sources zipped in the release section of GitHub then it's normally to find it, as...

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #236

Because the ivan386/Shareaza:master is not the right one. The last and most updated one is ivan386/Shareaza:ipv6, which I forked and updated.

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #236

    It was my previous company.

  • raspopov raspopov posted a comment on ticket #236

ansani/Shareaza This branch is 9160 commits ahead of ivan386/Shareaza:master. How's this possible? 🤔 Why not get an ivan386's master branch?

Hello Salvatore Ansani, Good to know! I have also been a happy user since 2005! Is there a possibility this will become the official? Or is this not what you want? Isn't it better to work on the official version instead of forking a fork from a fork?

  • Nikkho Nikkho posted a comment on ticket #234

Glad to read! Not only an up-.to-date x64 build, but with VC 2022 it should be a better performer. Looking forward.

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #234

Update: I created a new branch and put that one as default. I managed to build all things in the VS2022. I updated libs to be compatible with the 64bit environment. I only need to solve a C++ issue with a "deleted reference" (error C2280). I think the first 64 bit release is almost around the corner :D

Great. Now following you at https://github.com/ansani/Shareaza

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #234

Ok! I just forked the repo in my GitHub account and now I am trying to update the build process using VS2022. I will keep you updated.

  • Nikkho Nikkho posted a comment on ticket #234

Yes, that would be great for starts, at least providing a 2019 version meanwhile some other code updates are performed.

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #234

Do you mean forking the repo made by ivan386 and made an x64 build, right?

  • Nikkho Nikkho posted a comment on ticket #234

That would be great Salvatore Ansani . On my side starting with a x64 build of v2.7.10.3-beta.15 would be great.

  • Salvatore Ansani Salvatore Ansani posted a comment on ticket #234

Hi! I plan to "resurrect" the old client, update library frameworks and add features. Do you have a "wish list"? Surely, I will work on 4K compatibility and some network stuff. What do you think about?

  • raspopov raspopov posted a comment on ticket #234
