I'm sure I'm going to miss some feature that someone has asked for,
don't take it personally, please post it again to remind me.
v1.2 preliminary feature list
1. Editing of feature and database records. This includes adding and
removing records.
2. The ability to color (line width, line type, fill type...) specific
features according to a value in the db.
3. ASP.Net server control to compliment the forms custom control.
4. Add some type of scale property so that those of you who need
thresholding can implement it in your applications.
5. Mouse wheel support for zoom. (this needs .Net 1.1, which I'll be
moving to for this release)
6. Shapefile export.
7. Datum / measurement unit / ellipsoid transformations (a direct port
of Geotrans to C# maybe?).
8. Ability to show points as fonts or bitmaps.
9. Binary plugins with a plugin SDK. I'm going to augment the
IMapLayer interface with a plugin architecture that will allow binary
only file reader/writer plugins (not GPL). To me this is the
appropriate way to make a buck or two from an open source project. We
do need to eat after all. :)
