What should really be the format for 1 and 2 component readFloatBuffer=20 calls? Today we use alpha and luminance_alpha, this leads to counter intuitive=20 output in the shader. (ie. write to .a or .w channel, while .r or .x feels= =20 more right for singular outputs.) Any thoughts on this? Unfortunately there are no single component red buffers, and neither any red and green two components buffer buffers. (The nVidia extension do have red and red+green formats, but not the ATI or ARB extension). I am not sure what the best solution is.
