Why dosen't someone take the absolute minimum
stripped down version of Linux, and install a grid kernel
w/basic hardware drivers / network drivers.

Then a server version to host installation of various OS
on top of this grid kernel.

The idea being that the client kernel being simply a
framework for installing multiple OSes, and providing the
enviornment OSes could be installed and boot on.

And then as the grid has need, it can cipher off CPU
time / resources from any OS running on top of it. ANd
the OS would simply treat the shortening of resources
as "reduction of swap" or some such.

If you need more detail on this idea, or if its already
being done, please let me know.
