You're definitely right.  If you isolate the renderer and link "checker" 
well, I bet the SF people would be interested in possibly using it as 
a markup for tons of their other services.  I have used WikiRenderer 
separate from the Wiki for several little web things where I just 
wanted a fast, text only way of simply marking up text for the web.
