As far as sourceforge user stuff, we have to wait until sourceforge gives us access and instructions. PHP4 authentication and session stuff will definitely make this easier, but since sourceforge was built on php3 i doubt they're using the php4 built in features. Maybe they'll port over and then expose it to us. In the meantime, i think we might as well implement our own with the intentional design of making it easy to plug into the sourceforge authentication when its made available. From my general impressions, allowing the sourceforge websites to access sourceforge authentication info is hard to design securely and not that high a priority so may take a long time... -iain |
