Lars,
This is a known problem.
sfutils was used to make that release of sfutils to Sourceforge.
There is a bug that wee are working on that corrupts the
downloads in some case....
For now, if you want to make some tests, you have to use the
CVS version.

Hi Philippe,
I thought about making the next eclipse-cs (Checkstyle
Plugin) relase with sfutils - but considering your answer I
better leave that for now.
I think I'll just wait until the bug is fixed and a new release
made...
Thank you,
Lars

Yes its damaged. You can download the source and compile from it, but it doesn't work with the latest version of Sourceforge.
After a lot of work, I got it working with the latest version and have put my binary here. It now does uploading via SFTP. I haven't put all the libraries that ship with the source, but this is the minimum that seemed to work for me.

I really like what this project is trying to do, but this bug appears to be a show stopper and there has been no activity for nearly 3 years.
Is there any update to this? If sfutils does not create usable releases there isn't much point in using it.
