Currently the plugin doesn't understand that it should automatically establish a connection when the current tab path is changed to \\Secure FTP Connections\SOMENAME in case there was no already opened connection to SOMENAME.
If this is implemented then users could add directory shortcuts in Ctrl-D menu or Start menu or re-open a previous path from Directory History after restarting Total Commander or directly change the path from the command line of TC with cd \\Secure FTP Connections\SOMENAME\SOMEPATH (this is actually the command TC uses in Ctrl-D menu).
The alternative SFTP/SCP plugin by Ghisler supports this feature but that plugin is slower with small files and overall less advanced.
please test wfx_sftp_1_4_63_8.zip
It says that "expected version 1.4.63.7 got version 1.4.63.8".
I've edited the dll and changed the number, now it automatically connects on path change, thank you.
I updated the archive with a correct version.
On Disconnect the plugin doesn't restore the previous path of the tab.
To reproduce the problem:
The built-in FTP restores the path.
Ghisler's SFTP plugin doesn't, so I guess he forgot about it too.
This behaviour can't be changed in the plugin. It must be changed in TCMD itself.
