Hmmm. Interesting.  That was kinda what I was talking about where a file literally tells the app how to draw it.  Looking at the .pdf file in Vi, I noticed that it was generated with GNU Ghostscript.  I'll have to look into that.  Thanks for the info.  I might just have to check with this guy.
