Hello! Sorry for bothering you with a ticket. I have to answer tickets so I know they are a nuisance.
I was testing 7zFM on MacOS Ventura just now using Wine-Crossover, because I needed to Open a VDHX file on MacOS and that worked surprisingly well. Which then made me ask myself: "Why there isn't 7zFM on MacOS?" and, like, I did't found any unpackers or whatever that had a UI, only command-line stuff, 7z, RAR, etc.

Why have you never released a version of 7zFM on MacOS? if you do, well, know that you'd make at least one person really happy.

Thank you for your AWESOME work the last 25 years, I've been relying on your work for roughly that long.

Best Regards, Lion

7-Zip code uses Win32 API for windows version of 7zFM.
If we want MacOS version, that Win32 code must be rewritten. It can be difficult.
WIN32 api code for GUI is not simple.

I suppose WIN32 emulators are good way for Linux and MacOS, if these emulators work.

I see, 7zFM is deeply tight with Windows API itself.
Well, for actually unarchiving 7z files, the natively shipped solution on macOS works worders already. what I miss most is 7zFM itself, you know, having a working window to work on stuff. MacOS kinda relies on Finder for everything, and utilities like "The Unarchiver" works in background when you double click a 7z file, it will just spit out a folder with its contents.
That work for 99% of tasks, but when you try to unpack a VHD file, well, you kinda don't want it all unpacked into a folder lol.

But yeah, Windows 7zFM + Wine-Crossover works really well and as I said above I can open VHDX files in it very well
