#657 Question formats 7z and zx test corruption

I have 7z and xz files and I have a question about the test function to check for corrupted files.
In 7z and xz files, does this test only work and is it effective in the format's developer software? Example: 7z = 7-zip, xz = xz util, zip = winzip.

If I use WinRAR to test for corruption in 7z and xz files, doesn't the test work?
