Hi

I am getting a Codec Load Error: C:\Program Files\7-Zip\Formats\eDecoder.32.dll: %1 is not a valid Win32 application" when unzipping using the context menu. It goes on to do the extraction successfully, but the error is troubling.

Based on the Readme.txt in C:\Program Files\7-Zip\Formats I tried downloading the updated eDecoder dll files from http://www.tc4shell.com/en/7zip/edecoder/ but that does not help.

I have the latest 7-Zip and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling; 7z2407-x64.
My system is a Win10 Pro x64.

The https://7-zip.org/faq.html does not mention this specific dll; nor does Google oddly.

Can you help please?

eDecoder is external plugin.
You need only eDecoder.64.dll file for x64 version of 7-zip.
Remove eDecoder.32.dll.

I will try it and let you know but if the install puts both files in that dir, surely it will be a constant problem for you snd users?

7-Zip doesn't install eDecoder.
eDecoder is external plugin from another developer.
So eDecoder developer can try to fix these problems.
