#445 Password restoration

HI,
I used your program (7-Zip) to submit a document for a public tender. I generated a password as requested by the contracting authority, only now to open the file it tells me that the password is incorrect.
How can the problem be solved?
I have only 3 days to send the correct password.

Please describe all steps.
you had original file
you selected some password
you created encrypted archive with that password from your file
you can't open that archive with your selected password?

Try to reproduce all steps again with another file, and find exact reason of problem.

1. i have original file (pdf)
2. i create a password with 7zip
3. when i try to open the file , it says that i have an incorrect o
   damaged password, so i can't open the pdf file.

I can't do another archive with the same file inside, because it's a
public procedure, so i have to find this password to comunicate it .
Could help if i send you the damaged archive?

I don't understand you.
There is no any "public procedure" in your steps 1-2-3
All these steps can be reproduced internally in your computer without network/internet.
So describe all steps in details.
And reproduce each step with another file example.

For example:
1. I have a.pdf file.
2. I creare a.zip from a.pdf with password 123.
3. I can open a.pdf from a.zip with password 123.
There is no any failure. And you can reproduce these steps with your file.
Where your case is different from these simple steps?

3. I write in a post it my password xxxxxx
4. my password xxxxx dosen't work anymore.

Now i have to restore this password because i need to send it.

how can i restore this password?

Try all steps with simplest one character password: 1:
1. create archive from a.pdf with password 1.
2. extract a.pdf from archive using same password 1.
If it works without problem, try more complex passwords.

Note that when you enter password for creation and extraction, it must be same password.
If you type wrong password for extraction, 7-Zip will fail.

I have no way to recover passwords from archives.
So you must create another archive with correct password, if you don't know what exact password you used before.

Also think about possible keyboard related switches.
Maybe you switched keyboard for Caps Lock or maybe you switched for some non-latin letters when your entered password.
