I've heavily used the archive split feature since it was introduced as it made it easy to split up large data archives to fit the appropriate media size I was archiving to. I've recently run into two project wherein I have to upload large data sets (400-600gb) and I'm finding most enterprise file sharing solutions (Sharepoint, Sharefile, etc.) have file size limits ranging around 200-250gb. I'm utilizing the BD format of 25GB to split these large archives up so I had a suggestion that if you've provided these pre-existing size options up to now to fit most standard media types up to the largest BlueRay DVD 25GB, why couldn't you provide the end user the ability to split the file size up in any capacity they require for the archive split. If they want to split a 500GB file up into (5) 100Gb files, then it's certainly possible with 7zip. With cloud storage usage exceeding most local USB and optical storage medias, it just seems to make sense to offer those fixed sizes that are certainly convenient and apply to those media formats, but with cloud storage becoming the new standard it would make great sense and apply an entire new range of use to 7zip with the ability to select the file split size on the fly.
@ipavlov, i couldn't find a command line switch in the help for splitting a file. Can you add it in the new version?
Extras: It would be convenient if the file splitting window in the file manager showed the original file size. That way it's easier to figure out how many pieces it will break into.
You can enter any size in

box:Thanks Igor, I guess I should've tried to overwrite the fixed storage option and enter my own. I'll give that a try, good call!
