I would like 7-zip and 7z.exe to have the ability to have an m command which moves the files IF they were successfully archived (as in readable and didn't get an error of any kind during the read process).
7-zip should check the file attributes to see if it has permission to do so (for instance is it readonly), and to avoid if it's a shared file of any kind.

use case: one of the things I would like to do is archive HP printer logs in the windows temp directory so they don't take up so much space (new ones created continually but old not deleted). then I can run a batch file to archive the old usel;ess stuff. if I ever need it, it will be on hand, but won't take up as much disk space.

use case: sometimes when I am handing off files to someone that is only going to them (send-only) then I need to move the files into an archive and send it to them in an email.

use case: saving disk space on a hard drive by archiving things (maybe even in volumes) onto DVDs or blu-ray BDXL discs or a smaller hard disk or flash drive.

I am missing this feature regularly as well when I want to free up some space:
Start the compression, wait 2-3 hours and then delete the original.

    It's implemented in 7-Zip 15.10 beta:

    7z a -sdel a.7z file
