    i am writing a batch file that compresses everything in a folder.
    example directory structure is..
    c:\temp
    c:\temp\oldfiles

    i will be running the batch file from c:\temp
    i want it to compress all the contents of the  c:\temp\oldfiles folder, but not that folder itself

    the batch follows..

    PATH=C:\Progra~1\7-Zip
    7z.exe a -t7z -mx=9 archive.7z oldfiles\* -r

    the batch file wont always be run from c:\temp, but will always be run with the oldfiles directory in the same directory as the batch file.

    along with this is there a way to delete the files as they are being added to the archive?

    any help?

    thank you
    /fugg

    ps. Igor, awsome program, thank you

      cd oldfiles
      7z.exe a -t7z -mx=9 ..\archive.7z *
