The help text says -m depends on the type of archive. Then doesn't say how to specify the archive type. Then has sections for Zip, Gzip, Bzip etc.

What is a filter?

What does output stream refer to? What is a coder? What does binding a stream to a coder mean?
I started puzzling over this after using the program 7zip fine-tuner, it spits out output like:
LC: 5 LP: 0 PB: 0 Method: LZMA YX: 5 FB: 187
How would I specify those options?
-mm=lzma:lc5:lp0:pb0:fb187 -myx5
