I have a vendor that tries to open my zipped/password .txt files in UltraEdit. They get what appears to be hex data. They have no problem if they open it in TextPad/NotePad, but they have a custom solution that opens it in UltraEdit.
They CAN open it in UltraEdit if I omit the password, but the password is required. Has anyone had the same issue or could provide any suggestions? I have also sought help on the UltraEdit forums, but thought I would check here too since their forums are not extremely active.
You can open any kind of file with a text editor. Password protecting an archive does not prevent it to be opened, but hardens decoding it.
