I was looking on how to create an ISO file using 7-zip and I ended up on this topic.
If it's working, I'm now wondering what is \. and how come I can have an ISO from there but not from "Computer" for example?
Actually you can't create new ISO that way.
But you can capture ISO image there, if you have CD/DVD disc.
\. : the folder for low-level access to disks. You must have administrator's rights to use that folder. You can
- copy .iso images from CD/DVD to file.
- view NTFS/FAT partitions via 7-Zip parser. It provides read-only access to files.
