When I compress something with 7-zip, I end up with two folders: the original one that I zipped ”A”, and the one that is now zipped “A.7z.” Is there a way that folder “A” can just be converted into folder “A.7z” so I only end up with one folder (A.7z) instead of two? Thanks.

You can set
Delete file after compressionoption, inAdd to Archivewindow.
