    i use Am5x86 133 with 36Mb memory and win98se to surf network
i can't extract .7z files downloaded from network no mater how long they are
if archive is small ~(4Kb) 7-zip opens it but when i try to extract it says that all files are broken
if archive is larger it can't even be opened
however there is nothing wrong with archives - extract without any problem on AMD Athlon1.3Gh with 128Mb and win98se
all files are compressed with maximum compression, i think but i don't know for sure, using beta 10 or 09 (date is 12.01.2000)
one more thing, i can create archives myself
using normal or ,if files are small,  even maximum compression and then extract them without problem
something to do with machine class? or memory?

      Maybe network problems?

      nop
      i'm 100% sure
files from same archive can be extracted on other machine without problem (i copied that archive, not downloaded again)
and it's not installation problem for i can compress files myself and then extract
i think one of algorithms causes this, havent seen source though

That file was compressed with big dictionary (32MB). You need about 70 MB of virtual memory.

Do you have simplified API for compressing/decompressing in memory by 7z algorithm?

          Like compress/decompress in zlib or
          BZ2_bzBuffToBuffCompress/BZ2_bzBuffToBuffDecompress in bz2lib.

Now there is only decompressing code.
