I have a zip file, and the files compressed in it only show the "modified" timestamp. But when I drag another file from Windows Explorer to drop into the zip file, the zip file shows the added file's "created" and "access" timestamp, which I don't want.
How to prevent this? My purpose is to let 7-zip only show the added file's last modified timestamp in the compressed zip file.
Don't use drag and drop.
Create archive via "Add to archive" command. And write in "Parameters":
By default 7-Zip uses extra header that stores NTFS timestamps. Default FAT (DOS) timestamps have some disadvantages.
Thanks for your help, Igor.
Problem is, if I do it this way, the file "bok001.pdg" would be added outside the folder, while I want this file to be added into the folder "第五才子书施耐庵水浒传.04_12687379" inside the zip file. Please look at the attached screenshot.
How could I achieve this?
1) add the file to archive.
2) open archive and rename that file to folderName\fileName.
Thank you, Igor. This works!
