    Hi *,

ive downloaded Oracle 9i from Oracles HP in 4 Pieces as .gz Files. Inside these Files are included 4 .cpio Files. I could extract the cpio-Files from the .gz Files, but trying to extract the .cpio Files i only get an Error. On CLI i get :

    Error:
    error

    With GUI

    Unknown Error.

    Version 3.10

    Any suggestions ????

Maybe they use some modification of CPIO.
      So 7-zip can't extract it

For decompress in a HP-UX box I also need to use:

      cpio -idcvm < ship_9204_linux_disk1.cpio

I am having the same problem trying to decompress a CPIO file from an HP-UX archive.  Same "unknown error"
